Access your library account

This button (or the My Account link on the left panel) will take you directly to your account on the library catalog website. There you can check to see what you have borrowed, what items are due and when, what you have on "hold", what items might have come in for you to pick up, and you can renew items from home. From there you can go to the main catalog page, look up items, create lists, etc.
Price Increase for Online Genealogy Film Ordering
Now you can place an order and pay for microfilm/fiche from the Family History Library online! Go to
www.familysearch.org to see what films you want to order. Go to
familysearch.org/films and sign in (it's free). Request your films and select where you want them sent for viewing (We hope you'll select the Leesburg Public Library). Pay by credit card or PayPal online. As of Wednesday, February 15, 2012, short-term film loan (90 days including shipping both ways) will cost $7.50 per reel. Indefinite film loan (will be kept at the library of your choice) will cost $18.75 per reel. Microfiche are still 15 cents each and indefinite loan. You will receive an e-mail when your films arrive. Genealogy For African-Americans
The Leesburg Public Library will present a free program of Library resources for African-Americans who are researching their family history. The program will be in room A on Thursday, February 16th at 6:00 PM.
Paul De Ritter Jazz Band
Come to the Library and hear this free jazz concert. Mr. Paul De Ritter and his band will perform popular favorites on Saturday, February 18th in room A/B from 2:00 to 3:00 PM.
World of Stamps Exhibition
Join Mr. John Bell who will exhibit his vast stamp collection. Mr. Bell will be at the library on Wednesday February 22nd from 10 AM to 7:00 PM in room A. This exhibition is free and open to the public.
John L. "Les" Johnson
John L. "Les" Johnson, the host of LakeFront TV's popular series "The Other Leesburg" will tell the history of his own family in Leesburg. Come learn about the positive impact this family has had in the community and especially on education in Lake County. Mr. Johnson appears at the Leesburg Public Library on Wednesday, February 29th at 3:00 pm. This program is free and open to the public. Meet Author Irene Ziegler

Bus Service to the Library
The Lake Transit bus now stops at the Leesburg Public Library on Main Street. Riders can wait for the bus on the park bench under the awning on the Elk Street side of the main entrance. Other benches are available on Elk Street near the "Bird Watchers" sculpture under the oak tree. Stop by the Library to pick up a bus schedule.
